The amount of air entering the engine of a vehicle is an important factor to control the correct operation of the automobile, including idle speed. One component, the IAC valve helps control the car idle to squeeze the maximum.
Identification
An IAC valve, or idling control valve, allowing the air entering through the throttle body. If engine sensors perceive too air , the IAC valve can close this duct air , which regulates the idling speed.
Troubleshooting
If there is a problem with the idle speed of the vehicle, there is a way to check the IAC valve. Separate the IAC valve cover throttle body area. Place the ignition in the position to start the car but not start the engine. If the IAC valve works moving in and out, that means it is working. If there are no moves, you must replace it.
Features
It is possible that carbon deposits accumulate on the outside of the IAC valve. If you need to review it, make sure you look out is clean before replacing it. If necessary, clean it with carburetor cleaner spray for best results.
