Cleaning an aluminum alloy engine

Aluminum is not as hard as steel. Compared to steel, aluminum alloy is much less susceptible to oxidation, however, is sensitive to chemical reactions.   • 1 gallon of spray Bottle | Soap degreasing
  • Pressure Cleaning
  • Brush
  • Water Hose
  • Shop towels or rags

Clean Motor

  1. Fill the sprayer with degreasing soap and water according to the product instructions.
  2. Run the engine for about 30 seconds. It should be a little warm.
  3. Spray the mixture of water and degreaser on the engine, the engine components and the bottom of the bell. Wait a minute or two to allow the degreaser soap penetrates
  4. Use the pressure washer to spray the underside of the hood, the engine and engine components. Avoid spraying water directly onto electrical components.
  5. Soap spray degreaser on any dirty spots remaining. Rub stubborn dirt with a toothbrush.
  6. Flush the engine with the water hose.
  7. Dry the motor, cables and other components with shop towels or rags. Finish drying starting the engine.
