How to fix the antilock brake system

 

Anti-lock brakes or ABS (for short) are an improved braking system that helps the driver better control the vehicle during sudden braking hard. This system is more effective in difficult climates, where the trend of your wheels are locked. By applying pressure to the brake pedal, it will vibrate rapidly. This happens when the ABS system pumps the brakes to the wheels from locking your car and draggable. If you have problems with the antilock brake system, you’ll want to check to verify that the work properly.

Instructions

  1. Open the cover of the fuse box in your car and locate the fuse for the ABS system.
  2. Shining a flashlight directly on top of the ABS fuse. Check if the fuse is blown. If so, remove it and replace it with a new one.
  3. Turn the ignition key to the “II” position. If the ABS light comes on and stays on, then what is failing is the antilock braking system. Since the ABS unit is part of the assembly of the rim, any problem with the unit needs to be replaced immediately. Attend a brake repair service and expertise that is needed to remove damaged ABS sensor.
